Wednesday 11 June saw a group of Rotarians from Hanwell & Northfields assemble at Castlebar School, ready to take a group of pupils to Thorpe Park, as part of the National Kids Out Day, a tradition that the club has observed for some 12 years, and as usual it was orchestrated with great efficiency by Dave Brakespear.

This year we took 14 kids and 11 teachers / trainees, and they all enjoyed themselves; even the weather was kind to us.

The kids went on as many rides as they could, and it seemed to be the wetter and scarier the better, indeed the teachers / helpers and Rotarians were probably more scared than the kids!!

All the Rotarians that were able to go today would probably agree that this is one of the most fun and rewarding events on the Rotary calendar.
