Annual Pensioners Party

Wednesday the 23rd saw Rotarians from Hanwell and Northfields dispatched to all corners of the borough to collect our guests for the annual Pensioners Party.

This year we had nearly 70 people join us for what has become a regular feature on the club calendar, the guests had all been nominated by local organisations such as The Salvation Army, Hanwell Neighbourly Care, St John's Church and many more.

Tea and biscuits awaited people as they arrived with special thanks to the partners of Rotarians who kept the Urn boiling!

After a cup of tea our guests were entertained by David Ball, a member of the magic circle, after that we had afternoon tea, and a game or two of bingo.

We rounded off the evening with a couple of drinks, and a good old fashioned sing song led by our own Rodney and Richard.

Everyone left with a "party bag" whose contents had been donated by a number of local businesses including Barclays, Booker Cash and Carry, Waitrose, United Biscuits and Bestway Cash and Carry.
